Meet our Pastors
Michael Faulkner
Senior Pastor
Pastor Michael brings a wealth of experience and a heart for ministry to Garner Church. Previously, he served as Pastor of Discipleship at New Life Church in New Bern and Principal of New Bern Christian Academy. Michael holds a B.A. in Bible and Pastoral Theology, an M.S. in Education Administration, and is completing an Ed.D. in Leadership with a focus on Discipleship from Southeastern Seminary (ABD). Since being called as Pastor in March 2022, Michael has led Garner Church in a season of renewal, revitalizing ministries paused since COVID and fostering growth through faithful, gospel-centered preaching. His leadership extends beyond our walls, serving in the National Convention, North Carolina State Convention, State CTS Competition, and Randall Association.
Meagan, Michael’s wife since April 15, 2017, shares his passion for serving God. With a B.S. in Music Education from Southeastern, Meagan has ministered through music since childhood, bringing joy and worship to our congregation. Together, they are blessed with five daughters—Melody, Violet, Evelyn, and Scarlett—and Makenna (not pictured) born February 2025. Michael and Meagan are devoted to glorifying God through music, discipleship, and the ministry of the Word, pouring their hearts into leading our church family.
Cutler Harris
Associate Pastor
Cutler, a 2017 graduate of Southeastern College with a B.A. in Bible and Pastoral Ministries, brings a deep passion for ministry to Garner Church. With prior service at Grifton FWB Church and Union Chapel FWB Church, Cutler and his wife, Emily, have spent the last five years serving in the Raleigh area through Christian education and local church ministry. Together, they are raising three wonderful children—Cooper, Skyler, and Bellamy—instilling in them a love for Christ and His church.
Called as part-time youth pastor in 2023 and transitioning to full-time associate pastor in 2024, Cutler has revitalized our teen program with dynamic leadership and a heart for discipleship. He has also begun enriching our children’s ministries, fostering spiritual growth across generations. Cutler and Emily are dedicated to nurturing our church family, equipping young people to live out their faith with boldness and joy.
